The 2025 National Association for Medicaid Program Integrity (NAMPI) Conference wrapped earlier this week, and it was nothing short of inspiring. Hosted in the heart of Texas, this year’s event brought together federal and state agency leaders, policy experts, and technology partners to explore some of the most pressing issues in Medicaid oversight.

As a proud sponsor of NAMPI 2025, CITIZ3N had the opportunity to contribute to the national dialogue on Medicaid program integrity while showcasing the transformative work we’re doing to help government agencies modernize and operationalize safeguards that prevent fraud, waste, and abuse.

CITIZ3N at NAMPI: Driving Innovation in Medicaid Safeguards

From Booth 28, our team had dozens of great conversations with state agency leaders and program administrators about how CITIZ3N is helping to make healthcare access smarter, simpler, and more equitable. Our experts shared real-world examples of how modern technology is enabling more responsive eligibility systems, actionable insights, and agile program design.

We’re deeply grateful to the attendees who stopped by to learn how we’re partnering with public agencies to build trust and deliver results—particularly around Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRAs), work requirements, and redetermination tracking.

Moderated Session: Medicaid Work Requirement Integrity by 2027

One of the standout moments for us this year was our own Victor Sanchez, VP of Business Development at CITIZ3N, moderating a highly anticipated panel discussion titled:

“Medicaid Work Requirement Integrity: Preventing Disenrollment Abuse by 2027”

Joining Victor were two industry veterans:

  • Matt Salo, Founder of Salo Health Strategies and former Executive Director of the National Association of Medicaid Directors
  • Randy Pate, Principal at Randolph Pate Advisors and former Deputy Administrator at CMS

Together, the panel tackled one of Medicaid’s most complex and politically charged issues—ensuring fairness and continuity in coverage while implementing work requirements.

Topics included:

  • Practical Oversight Frameworks that avoid excessive disenrollment
  • Data-Driven Monitoring to ensure compliance without creating barriers
  • Cross-Agency Collaboration as a strategy to unify workforce and health agencies toward common goals.

The panel sparked thoughtful dialogue around how agencies can balance program integrity with equitable access, especially for vulnerable populations.

 The Road Ahead

With 2027 on the horizon, the message from NAMPI was clear: states must be intentional and precise in implementing work requirements—and they can’t do it alone. CITIZ3N is committed to being a trusted technology and strategy partner as agencies work to maintain coverage integrity while evolving policy frameworks.

If we missed you at the conference, or if you want to learn more about how we’re helping agencies design smarter Medicaid programs, let’s connect.
